Matcha tea, originally popular in Japan and China is gaining fame all over the world due to the unique elements of supreme importance present in it. The specialty of this tea starts from its cultivation process as the Matcha tea plant is covered for a month to save it from direct sunlight and atmosphere, unlike other teas. The essence of this method is that it allows the leaves to keep maximum chlorophyll intact and also enhances the essential acids like amino acid, especially L thiamine (the element only found in a maximum amount in Matcha Green tea).

Chlorophyll, present in high amounts in Matcha green tea, unlike other teas, decelerates the formation of toxins and gases produced during the process of digestion. This protects the inner lining of the liver. It also helps in detoxifying the body naturally.

Improves Overall Brain Function

L-thiamine, a rare amino acid that is found in ample amount ( approx 4-5 times more than other regular green, or black teas) in Matcha Green tea helps in improving the motor skills and focusing ability of the brain. It helps in concentration, alertness and, calmness by subsidizing the effect of stress. This is the reason why Japanese monks take it before their long hours of meditation.

Weight loss with no side effect

Generally, there are numerous health supplements nowadays claiming to reduce weight in less time but have a side effect or other. Thermogenesis, found in Matcha Green tea helps in reducing weight without putting any extra effort on heart or blood pressure that allows your body to avoid any undue strain in the process of weight loss.

Final Words

According to a recent study conducted by the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition, it was found that a cup of Matcha Green Tea is almost equal to about 10-12 similar cups of regular green tea. The main reason behind this is the massive proportion of chlorophyll pigment in the tea unlike, other green teas.
